he Butler High Golden Tornado Girls Bowling Team finished off a Great season with a second place finish is the Pennsylvania State Bowling Championships held in Pottstown, PA.

 

    The Tornado Girls bowled there best games of the season in the playoffs and were the number 2 seed after the qualifying round and faced Shikellamy High School in the finals and finished second overall.

 

   The Golden Tornado team consisted of Nicole Balk, Heather Paul, Kelly Bintrim, Autumn Hepler Brea Suchonic , Brittney Buzard and Alisha Fisher.

 

   The Tornado girls were led by strong performances by Brea Suchonic (247-236-182=665), Nicole Balk (216-242-171=629) and Autumn Hepler (203-188-227=618). The girls shot 4059 in 3 regular games and 6 baker games to qualify second.

 

Regular games - 1016-1042-920=2978

Baker games - 182-170-171-245-161-152=1081

   In the Pennsylvania State Singles Championships the Tornados girls had 3 girls qualify (Autumn Hepler, Brea Suchonic and Nicole Balk). They all finished in the top 20 in the state.

 

     Autumn Hepler finished 11th shooting 1235 series for the 6 game format. Brea Suchonic shot a 1215 series and Nicole Balk finished 20th with a 1104 series.
