The Butler Golden Tornado Varsity Girls Golf team continued their unbeaten
streak by defeating Mars.
The 170 score is a new Butler High school team record for the Tornado Girls
squad.
Junior Mara Shingleton was top medalist with a 37. Her 37 is also a new Varsity
Girls Individual record. Freshman Marissa DeCola carded a 39, while Senior
Arianna Rock was solid with a 42. Junior Taylor Schnur completed the record
scoring feat for the Tornado with a 52.

Butler's Marissa DeCola (74) Arianna Rock (86) and Mara Shingleton (87) placed
second, fifth and sixth, respectively, at this WPIAL Sectional.
In all, the top eight girls from this sectional who reached the target score
of 90 advanced to the upcoming WPIALChampionships, which will be held at Valley
Brook Country Club Oct. 6.
Tess Wolfe of Blackhawk edged DeCola, a freshman, by one stroke.
