It was a record-setting day for the Butler boys and girls indoor track and field teams at the TSTCA meet Saturday at Edinboro University.

Noah Beveridge broke the school record in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8 minutes, 56.20 seconds. He broke the previous record of 8:58 set by Gary Garman in 1999.
Beveridge’s time is also the third fastest in Pennsylvania and the fourth fastest in the country this indoor season.
On the girls side, the distance medley team of Erin LeMay, Maegan Emanuel, Mariah Geibel and Maggie Welty broke a school record with a time of 13:19.56.
They eclipsed the old Butler mark of 13:21.10 set in 2013 by Alexis Swiergol, Tori Sawhney, Macy Stalnaker and Rachel Weyand.
The Butler girls had three first-place finishes in the 64-team meet and had a placer in 11 of the 16 events.
Alexis Leech won the 400-meter dash with time of 59.74 seconds, which is an indoor state qualifying time, and the 3,200-meter relay team of Maddie Glew, Shana Hoy, Emanuel and Leech also placed first with a time of 10:09.57.
