Butler finished second out of 14 teams at the recent Seneca Valley Invitational.
Blake Caudill (75 pounds), Zack Collins (110) and Blaise Wheeler (210) each captured their respective divisions to key the Tornado performance.
Jordan Allen (185) placed second in his weight class while Cody Hartman (130) and Dakoda Collins (145) were third and Zackary Reges (105) was fourth.

The Butler varsity wrestling team followed up a huge 31-30 win over section foe North Hills by taking first place at the Commodore Perry Duals .
Butler defeated Girard (84-0), Brookville (58-12), Mercer (42-27), Cambridge Springs (78-0) and Port Allegany (46-21) to tie Commodore Perry, which also finished with a 5-0 record.
Butler was awarded first place by virtue of more team points scored. Eleven teams competed at the event.
" It was a great weekend," said Butler coach Scott Stoner. "Hopefully, this can continue.
" We entered this weekend with 10 of our guys nursing injuries," he added. "As far as I know, we came away from the tournament with a few black eyes, but that's about it."
Winning all five of their bouts were Daman Redenbach (112 pounds), Mike Crawford (125), Cole Baxter (130), Alex Evanoff (152) and Josh Pascazi (160).

" If we can get to next weekend at 5-0 in the section, we'd be halfway done with our section schedule and we would have a good shot at making the playoffs," said Stoner.

Eric Tuck (103-pounds) picked up an 8-6 decision in the final bout of the night to give the Tornado the win.
Mike Crawford (125) and Cole Baxter (130) recorded a couple of quick pins for Butler.
Crawford pinned his opponent in 28 seconds while Baxter pinned his foe in 51 seconds.

Junior High wrestling 2006

Butler beat Hampton, 55-39, to end its regular season with a 13-1 record, the best mark in the program's history.
Tallying pins over the Talbots were Zach Reges (90 pounds), Mike Crawford (110), Daman Redenbach (115), Cole Baxter (122), Dillon Weston (130), Alex Miranda (165) and Blaise Wheeler (210).
Eric Tuck earned a major decision at 95 pounds, Dakoda Collins won in overtime at 138 and Chris White had a forfeit-win at 185.
The Butler junior high wrestling team is led by head coach Donnie Geibel and assistant coach Aaron Pascazi.

Butler Junior High wrestlers win big
Butler junior high wrestlers Cole Baxter (122 pounds), Dakota Collins (130 pounds) and Alex Miranda (156 pounds) each placed first at the Dr. Kurt Nellis Memorial Wrestling Tournament at Shaler High School Saturday.
Eric Tuck (95 pounds) placed second at the tournament for Butler.
Butler's next junior high match will be at home Wednesday against Knoch.
Aaron Rable won a 6-2 decision at 130 pounds to ice the match for Butler and to give the Golden Tornado a 42-35 win over Shaler in the wresting opener for both schools Wednesday night.
The match started at 140 pounds.
"We dodged a real bullet here against Shaler," said Butler coach Scott Stoner. "We're going to be better in a couple of weeks and so are they."
Butler dominated the lighter weight classes as 112-pounder Dave Jaillet and 125-pounder Ian McLaughlin recorded pins.
Josh Pascazi (152) and Lee Will (160) also had pins for the Tornado.
Butler's junior high team also triumphed over Shaler 72-19, and junior varsity wrestler John Saul also picked up a victory.
